Homie was built around automating as much as task management as possible. Here are all the features you can leverage to streamline your team.

Quickly Create Tasks

One of Homie’s core requirements was the ability to quickly create relevant tasks right from inside Slack, summarizing the conversation, and using existing context to provide highly relevant task descriptions.

Currently, you’re able to quickly create tasks for the following integrations:

• Github Issue

• Trello Task

• Asana Task

Assign Tasks From Slack

Assign a task while you're talking about, without ever leaving Slack. Really simple, but just super ergonomic to not have to:

1. Switch app

2. track down task

3. track down user to assign

4. post a comment in Slack letting the person know they're assigned

That's 4 steps gone. Homie can even assign multiple tasks, to multiple people, all from a single message!

Close Tasks

You can ask Homie to close out issues as you're discussing them with your team. It's just nice to not have to leave Slack.

Find Open Tasks

Find tasks to work on without leaving Slack. Homie is able to prioritize, and assign tasks. Gives the team visibility into when tasks are being picked up, and possibly have a conversation around that as well.

Check Unclosed Tasks

No more doubling up on work! Homie will check every PR to see if it addresses a task, and if it does, Homie will add a comment saying that this task might have already been done. Dev forget to close out task? Homie's got you.

Detect Duplicate Tasks

Nobody likes duplicate tasks. Homie watches out for them for you automatically, and sends a helpful comment on a potential duplicate. No more doubling up on work!
